Sports Guidelines

This is a competitive league and playtime is not guaranteed.

Zero Tolerance

Participation in the Davie Tackle Football Club is a privilege and not a right. As such, you are required to conduct yourself in a proper manner before, during and after all scheduled practices and games. Any incident of a parent, spectator, coach or participant that involved vulgar language, threatening remarks, physical violence or verbal abuse will be dealt with immediately. Any and all persons brought up on such a charge will be removed from the sports program pending review by the Grievance Committee.

Lightning Guideline

There have been many unfortunate accidents in the Florida area by lightning striking individuals involved in sports activities that could have been avoided. It is the Town's policy to keep our participants as safe as humanly possible. We have adopted a lightning guideline to keep you and your family safe at our sporting events. Our guideline is as follows:

If the staff person in charge of a facility should visually see lightning in the immediate area, hear the sound of thunder accompanied with that lightning and our lightning detector shows that the lightning is within 8 to 20 miles away from the activity. ALL activities will be stopped at that time and the outdoor facility will be vacated. We will advise all participants, parents and fans to seek safe shelter immediately. PLEASE NOTE: The Town of Davie does not consider any dugout at their facility a safe shelter and we suggest going to an enclosed building or your hard top vehicle.
